Dear President-elect Trump,

Congratulations on your historic win. Your campaign was anything but conventional and to say that the odds were stacked against you would be a gross understatement. You have effectively and officially marked the beginning of the end of the Clinton machine as I’m sure that, this very minute, their donors are bailing like rats into the sewer. The people have spoken, and it is clear that we sense something in you. We sense momentum. We sense a course correction. We sense real hope. We sense a push-back against political correctness. We believe we have elected a champion for our cause. It’s a good day for conservatives everywhere.

Something needs to be said though.

We, the people WILL hold you accountable.

You made many substantial promises on the campaign trail. One of the main reasons you were voted in is because we are sick and tired of empty promises. We are weary of being betrayed by turncoat politicians who acclimate to the cozy DC lifestyle and, in turn, forget those who helped them climb the ladder. Here’s to hoping this will now begin to change. As one of those conservative, evangelical deplorables, I request five things:

1. Simply follow through.

Make good on your promises lest this become four more years of rhetorical “hope and change”.

– Secure our borders.

– Defend religious liberty.

– Clean house like you said you would.

– Utterly destroy Isis.

– Rebuild the relationship between Israel and the U.S.

– Bring jobs back by deregulating businesses thereby granting the small businessman freedom to succceed.

– Appoint conservative Supreme Court justice(s).

– Defund Planned Parenthood

– Defend the unborn and work towards putting an end to the silent genocide of infants that has too long been offered on the altar of inconvenience.

– Protect and preserve the 2nd Amendment.

– Repeal the disastrous “Affordable” Care Act

When you take office, you will immediately inherit a lot of control. You will have no excuse. DO NOT play it safe. If you must commit to being a kamikaze, one-term President, so be it. Just get it done.

2. Heed godly counsel.

As you did during your campaign, continue to surround yourself with people of faith. Appoint them in your cabinet and listen to them as your advisers. Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where no counsel [is], the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors [there is] safety.” I feel strongly that if you follow this advice, you will do just fine.

3. Realize that ALL people are created equal.

If there was one main criticism I had of you during the race, it was that you often harshly criticized and mocked people repeatedly for their appearance. As a Christian American, I believe that all men and women are created in the image of Almighty God, therefore ALL have value. Black people have value. Brown people have value. White people have value. Disabled people have value. Able-bodied people have value. Beautiful people have value. Ugly people have value. Straight people have value. LGBT people have value. Pro-American people have value. Anti-American people have value. Liberals have value. Conservatives have value. I think I’ve gotten my point across.

4. Class up.

You don’t have to “prove”anything to us anymore. You’ve won. As you travel abroad, please, be real, but don’t keep a chip on your shoulder. I am liking the toned down Mr. Trump that I have seen of late much more than the completely unpredictable, volatile and often juvenile Mr. Trump that we were introduced to early on. It seems that you have figured out that a teleprompter is not always a bad thing. Praise God.

5. Humble yourself before God.

God has smiled on you sir. You have pulled off one of the biggest political upsets (if not THE biggest) in history. While the American people voted you in, you MUST acknowledge that God is ultimately in charge as “he removeth kings, and setteth up kings“. Never forget that. Also remember, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18.

You’ve got your shot now. You’re hired! You will soon become the 45th president of the United States of America. All I ask is that you follow through with what you sold us on, and with our continued prayerful support along with God’s help and guidance, please, make this nation great again.
