Government will do what government will do.

“If you see in a province the oppression of the poor and the violation of justice and righteousness, do not be amazed at the matter, for the high official is watched by a higher, and there are yet higher ones over them.”

Ecclesiastes 5:8

We ought not be taken aback when government officials are not fair, and do not show reverence for God. That is what men and women of power are inclined to do.

Does it help then when we express anger or frustration (including about government) on social media?

Do you think it will bring about change?

Do you think they are listening to you?

“They” most likely, are not… but others are.

Our family, friends, and acquaintances take note of what concerns us. They listen to our conversations. They see what we post on social media. They observe what gets us, “riled up”, and by this, they determine of what sort we are and whether or not we really possess the peace that we say that we have.

“A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.”

Proverbs 29:11

Are we the Proverbs 29:11a-type?

Or are we the Proverbs 29:11b-type?

Psst… know what I think?

I think the difference is Jesus.

Just saying.
